I’ve been teaching AP Comparative Government long enough now that I feel confident sharing my resources. This year, one of my focuses has been streamlining my slide decks with Claude so each unit has a more consistent design. Less time fighting with formatting, more time on content and enrichment resources.
The tricky thing about this course is how much of it changes year to year. Mexico’s judicial elections, for example, pushed me to redo several resources as well as a handful of test questions. My resources are current right now, but they could easily be out of date by next fall.
I’ve added a new page to the blog to house everything: LINK. I’ll keep adding to it as I start new units. The CED is organized thematically, but I still teach an intro unit followed by country-specific units, so that’s how this page is organized.
Download them, use them, adapt them. My slide decks were built with help from a lot of other resources I’ve picked up over the years, and they’re full of images I don’t own, so they’re free. If you like what you find, though, my simulations are on my Teachers Pay Teachers store.
If you catch something that’s outdated, let me know. If you have an idea for a way to make a resource better, let me know.
